To be clear, it’s not like I found the narrative to be uninteresting, I just have no desire to experience a melancholy tale of going totally crazy more than once.Īnd yeah, I don’t know, too many hours playing such a dark game just makes me sad. Mark of the Ninja: Remastered - Nintendo Switch Digital Video Game Genre, Platformer ESRB Age Rating, RP - rating pending Multiplayer, Single Player Only. However, I still wish the story could have been less bleak and joyless. I know, I know, it is a stealth game about ninjas carrying out assassinations in the black of night, so darkness is thematically appropriate. List Price: 20.00 USDMark of the Ninja: Remastered is one heck of a stealth game, which works hard to justify it's 20 price tag. My only complaint about this game-and I had a similar critique of the sublime Katana Zero-is that the story is Just. (Absolutely nothing beats hand-drawn animation, sure, but I still love me some chunky pixels!) However this game’s art looks really damn good in motion and it won me over pretty quickly. There are certainly many folks out there who appreciate a high-res cartoon look over an old-school pixelated art style, but I’m not really one of them. The first was the excellent, time-swapping Ninja Gaiden-esque adventure The Messenger, and, of course, Mark of the Ninja Remastered a remastered port of the original Xbox Live Arcade game. The artwork has been replaced with original artwork that was of higher quality than what could be output. The visuals in this game look very Cartoon Network-style cartoony, a la Samurai Jack. When Nintendo had broadcast their Nindies Showcase Spring 2018 presentation back in May, there was not just one, but two side-scrolling indie adventures starring a lead ninja protagonist. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 18 Hours to obtain 100 completion. When focusing on the main objectives, Mark of the Ninja: Remastered is about 7 Hours in length. The one aspect of Mark of the Ninja that had me initially unsure was its art style. You must be silent, agile and clever to outwit your opponents in a world of gorgeous scenery and flowing animation.
